Glen Innes to Tamaki Drive Shared Path - Section 2
The Glen Innes to Tāmaki Drive Shared Path - Te Ara Ki Uta Ki Tai (the path of land and sea) is a joint project that will deliver a 7km-long path that connects Auckland’s eastern suburbs to the city centre. Oxcon CLL delivered Section 2 of this greater project from St Johns Road through to the Orakei Basin, along with the additional connection to John Rymer Place.
The project consisted of two bridges totalling 300m of bridges, one of which spanned the Eastern Line of the rail network, and over 800m of timber boardwalks and nearly 2km’s of 4m wide concrete path.
Delivered ahead of schedule and under budget, this was an amazing project for both Oxcon CLL and Waka Kotahi. An asset to be enjoyed for many years to come by the public and local communities.
